Primary One children have been very busy learning all about the number 1 this week and have been practising careful formation using cotton buds and paint. They have also been counting sets of 1 and recognising the number 1 using games on the interactive whiteboard. With P2 to help, they have been counting to 6 when playing snakes and ladders, and counting to 8 to make Insy Winsy spiders. They have been ordering Hickory Clocks for size and building some of the words from the nursery rhyme as well as performing rhymes in the X-Factor corner. P1 and P2 have also been working on identifying rhyming words during literacy time. So much fun and learning this month!
