Glorious Daffodils
Spring was definitely in the air last week in P2 and P3. We were out looking at the beautiful daffodils and decided we would like to paint some of our very own. Sadly some of the school daffodils had blown over in the wind so we collected them up and brought them into our classroom to cheer the place up and to study them closely ready for painting. As you can see the boys and girls made an amazing job of their artwork. At the end we displayed our daffodil paintings on the tables and walked around our 'gallery' admiring everyone's work.
We discovered that the author of the 'Winnie the Pooh' stories wrote a poem about daffodils called, 'Daffodowndilly' so we learned the words and took turns acting out the poem in our bubbles. We also did a whole class version for you to hear below.
