Winter Olympics 2018
P4/5 focused on the Winter Olympics in back February in as a mini topic. They created their own version of the Olympic torch in Art. They worked very hard researching new sports and athletes using ICT. They also did a lot of map work using atlases to discover which continents and countries were taking part. They looked at the medal league tables and used these for problem solving in Numeracy. They has a fun afternoon hosting their own ski jumping event using Forces and Energy as their Science focus with lots of measuring thrown in to see who was the winner and continued this later by writing wonderful instructions in Literacy so you all could make your own ski jumper if you wish! This really was a fun topic! Lots of learning and laughter!
