Primary 5 have been studying the topic of Subtraction, specifically, the method of Decomposition.
They have been performing brilliantly in class focusing on the method when carrying numbers and dealing with tricky zeros.
At the end of our Subtraction topic the children got an opportunity to show what they know.
Working in pairs they had to try to solve a selection of subtraction problems which had certain numbers missing.
P5 were so impressive! After a couple of demonstrations, they worked brilliantly with their partners showing superb subtraction skills, amazing perseverance and wonderful teamwork.
A huge well done P5!
