Primary Six and Seven got a wonderful treat as they received a visit from Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) and of course Professor Fluffy. Professor Fluffy is a colourful academic character created by the University of Liverpool as part of the Government's Aim Higher initiative to encourage young people to enter higher education.
During the visit, with the help of Professor Fluffy, QUB introduced Primary Six and Seven pupils to Queen's University; taught them about university life in a fun, engaging and interactive way; and ensured that they were aware of the exciting opportunities available through higher education.
In the next phase of the programme pupils get to visit Queen’s Campus where Professor Fluffy will introduce children to various places on campus, the vocabulary of university life, the history of Queen’s and the employment options that higher education offers.
