Today we had our annual prize giving assembly. It was wonderful to have everyone together for the celebration this year.
We had awards for:
presentation - there is 1 winner in each year group. The award goes to the pupil who presents their work in a neat and tidy way all year.
general excellence - there are 2 winners in each year group. The award goes to the top performers in the end of year class tests.
reading - there is 1 winner in each year group. The award goes to the pupil who has stood out most in reading during the school year.
We also presented a variety of cups and shields, the winners of which were selected by school staff. These were:
The McNee shield for Effort in Sport, The Crosbie Cup for Mental Maths, The Hay cup for Additional Reading, The Guy cup for Kindness and Consideration towards others, The Kilgore cup for Contribution to School Life, The O'Neill Cup for Performance in ICT, The Gamble Cup for Literacy and The Thompson Cup for Academic Excellence (This cup is awarded to the person who achieves the highest scores in their annual tests and is not selected by staff).
