Jonathan McKean, Jack McLaughlin and Jonathan Gamble were chosen on Friday 10th February to represent our school at the Primary Science Challenege Heats organised by the WELB which were held at the North West Teachers Centre.
It was a very difficult task to choose only three pupils as this was all that were allowed to be entered therefore we organised our own class technology project and from this the boys were choosen on the merit of the skills they had demonstrated.
Jonathan McKean showed a good understanding of circuits, Jack for his understanding of the need to meet the aim given in the challenge and Jonathan Gamble for his understaning of strengthening structures.
The boys did the school very proud in the heats but unfortunately we didn't get put forward to the finals with only 4 of the 14 schools being chosen.
I know the boys found taking part in this challenge both an honour and an extremely enjoyable event.
