Peer Learning Fun
P1/2 had a great time today with a special visit from the P4 children. Peer learning is a great activity which encourages each member of the mixed age group to develop their listening, caring and team work skills. Today the P4 children were being the teacher by listening to the P1/2 children read and say their words. It was great to overhear the lovely words of encouragement from the P4's as they helped their younger friends out whilst also consolidating their own word knowledge.
The second part of our time was spent stimulating imagination! An invisible egg appeared in class and the children had to use their creativity to describe what sort of monster was inside and how it looked. We had some amazing ideas including long sharp claws, fierce eyes and scaly skin! The mixed age pairs then went to draw and describe their very on monster with marvellous results as you will see from our photos. I hope these AMAZING MONSTERS don't give your nightmares!
