P3/4 Volume Work
P3/4 have had a busy time lately filling, measuring and emptying! Yes we've been learning all about volume! Through practical work P3 were estimating then testing how many cubes could fit in a box and how many spoonfulls of sand it took to fill a bucket! P4 were active too and even got a bit wet whilst measuring litres and 1/2 litres. As you can see from the photos the children were all very involved and eager to take part. Practical investigation work is a great way to learn and children benefit so much from this. So next bathtime why not pop in a measuring jug and a few empty bottles to play with - after all every play time is a potential learning opportunity! Have fun!
