P2/3 Growing Topic: FROG Week

P2/3 having been hopping crazy this week whilst learning all about FROGS!

Our reading challenge this week was a Frog lifecycle PowerPoint which helped them understand the different stages of a frog's life.

In Literacy we answered questions on what we learned from the PowerPoint and filled in the missing froggy words in our cloze procedure task.  Some children completed the writing task of sequencing the different lifecycle stages and writing their own describing sentence which was super!  It was also great to see that children were finding other books about frogs at home and having a look at those too.

Our Frog related Numeracy this week was counting in 2, 5 or 10's whilst frog hopping across the garden! I hear this caused a few laughs and some even completed this task on their trampoline, well done to all!

In Art we were once more focusing on our Frog week and made a lifecycle.  Miss Nutt was VERY impressed with the creativity shown in the making of these and I'm sure you'll enjoy having a look at the results of our Frog week work and activities below.

You will notice that Cassie has a few new pets! They are called Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie-Pie, Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle. What fun times lie ahead watching them grow and develop!
