During our Space learning P2/3 have been wondering how a rocket gets up into space. So we decided to investigate FORCE and find out exactly what it means.
We had some demonstrations in class, of pushing and pulling forces. We pushed against a partners hands and pulled a partner up. We realised that force is a strong and wonderful thing!
So we then knew that rockets needed a LOT of force! We decided to try an experiment to demonstrate how the force of air works using a string, straw, balloon and lots of air!
