P2 have been using their thinking skills a lot recently but especially during our 'Problem Solving Fridays!' As you can see from our photos the children were working in pairs trying to solve some time problems which required counting on in full hours and half hours. Some questions were definitely tricky but P2 persevered using their knowledge of the clock to find the answers.
Our second problem task was relating to our money topic. P2 showed great skill in finding lots of different ways to make the same amount of money using different coins. They recorded this on their data sheet. Next time you're at the shop try asking your child to help sort the money or let them pay for little items - practice is a WONDERFUL learning tool! :)
