It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! P1/2 have been busy transforming our classroom and making it ready for Christmas through art work and indoor play. Children in the 'Home Corner' have been learning to follow written and picture instructions on how to set a table ready for Christmas dinner. The 'Post Office table' has allowed children to sort the correct coins to buy cards, envelopes and stamps and practise their letter formation whilst writing their Christmas cards. In the 'Sand Tray' children have been re-enacting the Christmas Story using the Nativity set and beautiful Christmas trees have been created at the 'Art Table!' Children have also been reinforcing their number order within ten and twenty using interactive games on the white board. A busy time for all!
