Old Box, New Toy!

P2/3 read the story 'The Life of the Little Cardboard Box' and 'Whatever Next' where the little bear used his cardboard box as a rocket to get to the moon.  These books got us thinking about what we would do with a cardboard box.  The children, as usual, didn't need much prompting to come up with some fantastic ideas about what they would create and after a few weeks of collecting boxes we set to work!  As you can see from the smiling faces they really enjoyed this making task.  It promoted team work and collaboration, creative thinking and artistic flare plus they loved being able to use and play with their creations outside when they were finished.
