As part of our Grammar topic in Literacy, P5/6 have been focusing on nouns.
They've been studying both common nouns and proper nouns.
One of the lessons involving common nouns was a practical session where the children moved around the school trying to locate and recognise as many different common nouns as possible. They moved to specific areas within school and were then working against the clock to try to record as many as possible.
The children loved the opportunity to extend their learning beyond the classroom door.
