P1/2 have been learning the importance of MONEY! We know that we need to learn about money so that we can buy things we like or need, and save it for important things. Through practical activities during Numeracy, sand play and ICT, we have been learning how to make certain amounts of money with P1 using 1p and 2p coins and P2 using 1p - 20p coins. We also had a challenge day where the children had to draw their own coins to match the money amount on their page. Understanding money is a vital life skill so it's never too soon to let your child count out their own coins to pay for small items. :)
