Although P6/7 brighten up everyone's day by just being themselves, they now brighten up everyone's day even more! They have been busy creating beautiful lanterns. They got a balloon and covered it with tissue paper, water and pva glue. Some cut out stars and placed them on the outside of the lantern. They then left the balloon to dry out for two weeks. The children then popped the balloon and cut around the top of the lantern.
P6/7 then got out the clay and made pots for the base of the lantern. The children rolled out the clay, making sure to get rid of all airholes and made a curly wurly pot. All the bumps were then smoothed out and the lanterns were ready to be lit up!
