If you go down to the woods today you'll find . . . . P1/2 finding out about their new topic! Forests, trees, animals and habitats are all included in our 'If You Go Down To The Woods Today' topic. Today the children were thinking about what makes a forest. We had a walk around our school grounds to look at the forest behind school and look at our own little woodland area beside the P4/5 classroom. The children came up with a list that they think make a forest then returned to class to design a map of a woodland area. As you can see they made a great job of this activity. Next time you're going on a family day out why not consider the woods and help your child identify some of the woodland features during a healthy walk!
