On Wednesday the 16th of March DPS took a team of eight pupils to Artigarvan Hall to participate in a Hardball Cricket tournament. Upon arrival we were informed that there would only be four teams participating so it would just be a little friendly tournament with no actual winner at the end of the day.
It turned out to be a wonderful day and one that the children thoroughly enjoyed.
DPS performed brilliantly by winning two games, both against Artigarvan A and B and losing once to Bready Jubilee.
Having to wear pads, helmets, gloves etc. gave the children more experience with a hardball type game and undoubtedly raised their confidence for future performances.
Also, a huge thanks to Brian Allen for the invitation and we hope to attend more events in the third term.
