Happy Birthday DPS with Nicole
To celebrate our 60th Birthday we are sharing photos and stories from past pupils to share in their successes and celebrate as a community. Our fifth story is from past pupil Nicole.
My name is Nicole and I went to Donemana Primary School from reception up until primary 7. I can remember crying as I walked through the playground on my last day. My teachers were Mrs Thompson, Mrs Crosbie (Miss Armstrong), Mrs Gamble, Mrs McCusker (Miss Lyttle), Mr Kilgore as principal then Mr Guy and Farlene as classroom assistant. I have many memories like Christmas nativity plays, playing rounders, Easter Egg competition, drawing the titanic and someone's picture blew out the window and a game of heads down thumbs up was always a big favourite. Since leaving I went on to Strabane High School and then NWRC to study childcare. I was lucky to get the opportunity to come back to DPS to complete a few weeks placement in the Primary 1/2 class. I am now a classroom assistant in Knockavoe Strabane. My time at Donemana Primary was such a positive learning journey and I am extremely grateful for my time there, the memories I made and friendships I still have today.
A big happy birthday to DPS!
