Thursday 26th September was European Day of Languages, organised by Queens University Belfast. There are over 6000 languages spoken in the world and this day focuses on how important languages are and what fun can be had learning them. This event is celebrated in 45 countries across Europe andDonemanaPrimary School joined in! We focussed on the Spanish language as some of our children learn Spanish every week at school. Each class took part in a wide range of activities including learning heads, shoulders, knees and toes and a greeting song, creating a fact file, hot seating and colouring flamenco dancers. All children and staff attended school dressed in Spanish colours or as a famous Spaniard.
