Discovering weight and balance
Primary Two have been learning about weight recently. They tested for heavier or lighter using themselves and the see-saw which was great fun! Today the children were making predictions about weight and found out how to make the scales balance. They also had to estimate how many cubes would equal various objects from around the classroom. The children worked in pairs and were very fair about taking turns and sharing. As you can see from the photos they were very involved in their learning and used super concentration skills to work out the answers. If you happen to be baking at home you could encourage your child to help weigh out the ingredients.
