P5 received a very special visit from the Allstate Cyber Safety Team.
Maria and Gareth, from Allstate, warned and informed us of the dangers that can be hiding in the online world. They spoke to us about popular apps, security settings we should have in place and the next steps to take if you see something that makes you feel uncomfortable.
During the interactive session, the class took part in a walking debate and also got the chance to take part in a voting game of ‘Mean’ or ‘Not Mean.’
The presentation, the images used and the information shared were extremely useful to the Primary 5 children. The online world is ever changing and it is important to keep up-to-date with as many aspects as possible.
Allstate also provided us with some lovely merchandise and an activity booklet.
