Celebrating 60 years of DPS with Bethany
14th Mar 2025
To celebrate our 60th Birthday we are sharing photos and stories from past pupils to share in their successes and celebrate as a community. Our P6 and P7 pupils have been tasked with interviewing a past pupil to create some more celebration stories. Our fifth story is from our past pupil Bethany and is a wonderful homework assignment from our P7 pupil Annie.
Hi, my name is Bethany and I attended Donemana Primary School from 2004 - 2011 from reception to primary 7. My favourite teacher was Miss Lyttle (Mrs McCusker) who taught me in primary 4/5 because she always made learning so much fun! I have always loved reading, and world book day was the most enjoyable day of the year for me as I got to dress up as some of my favourite book characters! I was lucky enough to return to DPS for my university placements, where all the staff encouraged me to pursue my PGCE and thanks to them for all their help and support, I am now a fully qualified primary school teacher! I am recently married to my husband Jordan and we have been blessed with our beautiful baby daughter Mabel, who one day will also attend DPS where she can also ‘Be the Best YOU Can Be!’
