To celebrate our 60th Birthday we are sharing photos and stories from past pupils to share in their successes and celebrate as a community. Our second story is from our past pupil Robert Smyth who has achieved amazing success in his studies.
I was at DPS from 2002-2009 and my best friend there was Dale Patterson, who I’m still in contact with today! My favourite teachers whilst I was there were Mr Guy and Mr Potts. Since I left DPS I went to the University of Oxford to study Chemistry. I achieved an MChem degree in chemistry and have recently completed my PhD. Now, I’m a postdoctoral research associate within the university studying solid state materials in inorganic chemistry.
