Brrr! It's freezing!

Our new topic in P1/2 is Brr!  It's freezing.  We will be learning all about cold lands, arctic explorers and more!  Our play based learning - indoors and out, will be linked to this topic.  So far we have been exploring the play areas and having lots of fun in the arctic reading tent, with the igloo game, in the cold lands tuff tray, creating a snowman from a range of resources in the STEM area, creating a bridge to cross the ice lake, making slushies in the mud kitchen, chipping at the ice to see what we can discover...and more! Phew, what busy Arctic Explorers we are!  We also have a phonics table during indoor play where we have been consolidating our sound knowledge, practising our letter formation and improving our fine motor skills.
