Big Garden Bird Watch Week

P4/5 focused on the RSBP Bird Watch last week and completed arts and crafts connected to the topic as well as all their literary and numeracy work. What a busy bunch they were!! We used the natural world as our inspiration and looked at the amazing work of an artist called Hannah Bullen-Ryner who created bird pictures outside using natural materials.  The children made their own versions and they are AWESOME!!!!! We also took advantage of the cold weather and made ice pictures by pouring water into a dish, adding leaves and berries and leaving it outside to freeze.  They look so FANTASTIC!  Finally the children looked after the birds by making bird food to help them in this cold weather.  Yet again another WONDERFUL WEEK of LOCKDOWN LEARNING.  Mrs Hay and I are SO PROUD of our class!!
