Autumn Senses
Primary 1 and 2 have wrapped up their first topic 'Hey, hey look at me!' by going on an 'Autumn Senses trail' exploring the outdoors using their senses of sight, touch, smell, hearing & taste. We were very lucky with the weather and we used our eyes to see lots of autumnal changes in the environment especially the array of colours of leaves fallen. We could hear the crisp crunch of leaves under our feet too! The children got up close to the trees and touched the roughness of bark and moss on the huge tree trunks. During snack time we were able to taste autumnal fruits of apples and blackberries, yummy! But last of all when we were outside exploring our sense of smell took us to the canteen where the cooks were baking delicious chocolate buns, what a treat!
