A Very Important Letter in P5/6
Christmas truly arrived in P5/6 last week as we wrote the most important letter of the year.
We took the opportunity to learn about letter writing and what we should be including in our letter to Santa. The class helped decide what had to be included in each paragraph of the letter and got to read an example provided by Mr Potts. They spent a couple of lessons writing their first draft, some time to proofread and edit before writing their final letter. We listened to Christmas music whilst writing our letters and took the opportunity to add some colour and pictures to our letters and envelopes.
To finish off the week we completed our Santa Daily Mile and walked to the postbox on Friday.
Fingers crossed Santa receives our letters and the elves can get to work on the presents we’ve asked for. If any other classes would like to read the letters, they are displayed on the noticeboards outside the P5/6 classroom.
Well done P5/6!
