P1 and P2 were working very hard during World Book Week. They completed lots of activities on the book called 'I wish I had a monster'.
We looked at the pictures only (not the text) and thought about what was happening in the story. We wrote clouds of wonder about it.
We painted our very own monsters!
We made monster coloured play dough and made monsters from the play dough.
We had to follow instructions and take turns. We saw the mixture change from runny to play dough! It was brilliant!
In the story the little boy wished he had a monster. We wrote our own wishes.
In the story the dad suggested other pets for the boy that were not scary. We sorted animals into sets - scary and not scary.
We had 2 winners of the book cover competition.
We also learned a song which we sang in assembly. It was called 10 little monsters.
We worked very hard :)
