DPS Eco Club

19th Feb 2018

DPS Eco club have had a busy calendar to date beginning in the new school term with a newly elected Eco Team getting to know each other, carrying out an environmental review to help plan for the new Eco Action plan and identifying 3 areas to address and to improve over the school year.   Saving water, energy and creating an outdoor learning area in the school grounds is the main focus for our Action plan this year. Already the Eco team and all our WONDERFUL pupils at Donemana Primary School have celebrated success when we participated in 'Switch off' Fortnight, a campaign to help reduce wastage of electricity, water and heat. The Eco team presented the results in an Eco assembly at the end of January to congratulate and share this success. We had some great public speaking from the Eco team and we all want to say a massive well done to all the boys and girls involved!
