A Celebration of the Christmas Story

Our Primary Three class enjoyed a lovely day out to Tamlaghtfinlagan Parish Church in Ballykelly today.  They were invited to come and see their Shepherds Scene which was part of the beautiful Nativity display within the church.  After a look around the various displays, which included Nativities made from bottles, cake, wool, wood and even nuts and bolts, the children took part in an information treasure hunt and a story and question session.

Lunch was eaten in the Church Hall before completing a Christmas Story scene sheet which we are going to turn into our very own Nativity during Art time this week.

As you can see we all had a lovely day viewing, learning, working together and having fun whilst being reminded of the true meaning of Christmas.
